Neil, a homeless boy, is able to change his life with the help of a very good man. He realizes, however, that to overcome the bad habits he developed in the company of his old friends, he will need to put great effort and discipline into his studies and work, and follow the advice of his friend and protector, Mr. Augusto. As he grows up, Neil acquires excellent qualities and remains at the side of the man who had adopted him as a son, taking care of him in old age.
